Director of Education and Research

To be a researcher ... An early thought 

I studied in a Govt school , huge green campus , lot of play ground, many extra-curricular activities, games , anniverary ... and much more !! But it was all simple , we sat down on the floor in primary school , benches only after 3rd  !! 8th , 9th and 10th was a bit serious , that too I was in NCC , it meant a lot ... not just parades , but good breakfasts :)) , health in body .......mostly exta. activities in big gathering for all special days like Aug 15 etc !!  So much fun ..... it became the first basis of joy in life ... I loved always extracurr. activities ....like gardening, guides ( upto 6th ) , painting , stitching ......I love them even to this day ... Surely  I do this with great happiness even now once a while... with these. life is incomplete  .......

 What do you want to become when you grow up the director of education asked all of us in a school gathering in the auditorium !  I was about 8-10 years old .. all gave different answers like engineer , doctor, lawyer  etc !  Usually I never had the tendency to speak up much to be identified .. my teachers in school used to encourage and make me stand . I will stand only after some teacher mentioned else to raise the hand I felt is impolite. After that only I speak .... my expressions and emotions were far more under control , it started fading with age.... I became more aggressive I think. But then our school principal asked me to stand up and say .. I told I want to be a researcher ! The director was surprised and told ... you are the only one who said research for this you have to do a PHD  and don't make it a please hand over degree all laughed .... I found it very interesting addition to my dictionary of limited English I knew .. but it psyched me even in later ages to think of PhD degree in a casual way ...

 Earlier on that day I spoke that day some thing related to SPACE !  I never had stage fear and loved my spontaneity good or bad once onto the stage, I couldnot however figure out how I could speak ! I loved to create through thinking than copy from texts ... as much as possible !
